A hair transplant is a minimally invasive surgical procedure that involves transferring healthy hair follicles from a donor area (usually the back or sides of the scalp) to areas affected by hair loss. This procedure is commonly used to treat androgenetic alopecia (male or female pattern baldness).
While transplanted hair follicles are generally resistant to hair loss, the non-transplanted hair surrounding them remains vulnerable to progressive thinning over time. This is why post-transplant care, including PRP therapy and ongoing hair maintenance treatments, is crucial.
Undergoing a hair transplant is a significant step in restoring hair, but ensuring its long-term success requires proper post-operative care. At

These first 2 weeks its vital to not touch or damage the grafts are they are not rooted yet. after 10-14 days they will be anchored and you won’t need to be as careful.
TIP: you might experience itching. if you do fill a misting spray bottle with boiled water and place in the fridge till cold then mist the head with cold water as needed.
From the 3 to 6 months the hair will gradually start to grow. Often the hairs can cause red angry spots. This is normal. Don’t be tempted to squeeze them. If you are concerned contact your surgeon. At 6 months you will see around 30-40% growth, this can often be wiring hair due to the ecelerated growth. It will settle.
At this stage you will see the best results. remember its often normal to have to have a second transplant to increase density at this stage.
